Designing the communication campaign for Teresa Solar solo exhibition at MACBA has been an exciting opportunity to explore the connections between matter, language, and the body.

This curatorial proposal reveals Teresa’s sketches and drawings, which serve as the foundation for her enormous sculptural installations. The juxtaposition of these preparatory works with her finished pieces highlights the continuity and transformation at the heart of her creative process. The graphic composition and color choices enhance the materiality and impact of her work.
The public campaign translates Teresa Solar’s visual language into printed formats. Masts, display cases, and street banners across the city showcase fragments of her sketches alongside details of her sculptures, emphasizing the transformation process at the core of her practice.
To enhance the campaign’s impact, we have developed a custom typeface inspired by the artist’s intervention within the gallery space. Reflecting the organic and structural qualities of her work, the visual identity of the exhibition bridges with the essence of her creative language.
